Long time no see!

Have you missed me?

Long time no see! I've been offline for a little bit finalizing my nationals wardrobe, paperwork and just transitioning into spring.

Long time no see! I've been offline for a little bit finalizing my nationals wardrobe, paperwork and just transitioning into spring.

I've had several ladies reach out to me, wondering about competing for my title in January, so I wanted to do a little preview post of frequently asked questions!

When? The pageant is January 5, 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Where? The Knight Theater in Uptown Charlotte, NC. The host hotel is the Courtyard Marriott on Tryon Street.

What are the areas of competition? Delegates at the state level will be competing in Evening Gown, Swimsuit and Personal Interview.  Evening Gown 35%; Swimsuit 35%; Personal Interview 30%.

Do I qualify to compete?
All delegates who are interested in competing must provide proof of their state residency.  All delegates certify they are between the ages of 18-26 and cannot turn 27 on or before November 15, 2019; delegates must be single and never married (never divorced or had an annulment of marriage), delegate must never have given birth to a child.  You must not get married or become pregnant during your reign.

But what do I wear?

Orientation –  This is an outfit that you'll be photographed in, so wear something fashionable and polished! I'd recommend you stay in this outfit for rehearsals, so be sure you have your competition shoes with you. I wore a blue off the shoulder dress with flare sleeves from Venus, which was comfortable and appropriate for my contract signing after the pageant as well!

Interview Attire -  Delegates must bring a fashionable outfit for the interview competition. You are not required to bring an interview suit. Any type of outfit that you deem appropriate to interview in for these titles is acceptable.  I wore a white jumpsuit from Bebe, with bright earrings.

Opening Number –  All delegates will choose a white or silver outfit of their choice, may combine colors (long dress, short dress, skirt, pants, romper, jumpsuit, appropriate shorts).  You can accessorize accordingly! Last year, we wore blue and white, and I was able to borrow my outfit from pageant friends.

Swimwear –  Delegates shall provide their own competition swimsuit; one or two piece.  May use sarong if desired. Another win for Venus! I wore a blue bikini from Venus Swimwear.

Evening Wear –  Delegates must bring one evening gown in a style and color that best compliments her.  Gowns should also reflect delegate’s style and personality. I wore a beautiful Jovani gown from Dazzles that was customized by Pixton Design Group.

Tell me more about this pageant!

TMC Productions, L.L.C., an event production company has been organizing beauty pageants since 2012 for NC and SC; holding the State licenses for the USA franchise for Miss International (www.miss-international.org).

Miss International was established to promote “friendship and good relations with all Nations”.  The pageant was founded in 1960 in Long Beach, California where it established the “Miss International Foundation” which donates money to underprivileged children around the World through UNICEF and other charity institutions.  The donations go to hearing and sight impaired, severely mentally or physically disabled, and severely sick children across the World along with donations to “Feed the Children”.  The organizers envisioned a regal International pageant celebrating beauty, culture, and style, while promoting Peace, Goodwill, and Empowering Young Women.  Miss International is also a live TV telecast and are members of the World Beauty Association (WBA).  Harrison Productions, LLC has been embarking on an aggressive business plan in the USA including market research, trademark/image development, and promotion.  With an incredibly successful run for the past 57 years…This is Miss International from Tokyo, Japan.

Miss International’s Mission Statement:  Through continuous philanthropic activities, the Miss International Beauty Pageant is aiming at being more than a beauty contest; it is an opportunity for the participants to improve their inner selves through proactively contributing to the International community and International exchanges.  Emphasizing beauty, style, and cultural appreciation, the Miss U.S. International   Pageant is a personal development opportunity for young ladies of the United States of America.  The delegates who become part of the Miss U.S. International Pageant gain confidence and poise in an increasingly competitive world.  The pageant affords each delegate the opportunity to grow and advance her personal goals while acting as a role model in her community along with offering Miss International a $20,000 plus cash prize and prize package exceeding $40,000. On a State level, we have a substantial prize package that includes lodging at the National Miss U.S. International Pageant, National Pageant Wardrobe, fitness and pageant preparation gifts.  For the past 57 years, the Miss International pageant has been recognized as one of the three major beauty pageants in the World.  Under the directorship of Harrison Productions, LLC, the USA franchise for Miss International is “One of The Top 3” Beauty Pageants for women of the United States of America and is also a Grand Slam Pageant.
