My very first appearance at Miss North Carolina US International was at 24 Hours of Booty, in Charlotte, North Carolina. That afternoon, a HUGE storm blew through leaving us with some drizzle and lots of humidity. While it was a great event, I left looking way less than regal and realized that something had to change. 

That morning, I'd showered and straightened my air-dried hair with no product and went off to work.  When I got home that night, I was seriously regretting it! Worst hair day ever, anyone??

I'm honored to serve as the Philanthropy Chair for the Alpha Gamma Delta Charlotte Alumnae Chapter. This weekend, we volunteered at Second Harvest of Metrolina, a Feeding America partner. We got a short and sweet training from Anthony, and then we started our assignment for the day - sorting through food and non-food donations in the warehouse.

Friday afternoon, I headed over to check out the Panther's Fan Fest at Bank of America stadium in Uptown Charlotte.

The Knights had a home game that started at 7:05, so good energy was flowing through Uptown. A jazz band was playing on the corner, the weather was beautiful and everybody was in a great mood.

#FeelGoodFriday - 24 Hours of Booty

Friday evening, I was able to spend a few hours in "Bootyville" with my coworkers! We were able to meet lots of different people, hear their stories and why they were riding. I was happy to contribute by passing out waters and delicious snacks like sticky buns, mixed berry muffins and truffles from the Charlotte City Club!
